Its target audience are 3rd ESO students, but I think it could be adapted to other ESO courses. The objectives for my students to attain are the following:

1. Survey the class consumer habits and reflect on them
2. Become aware of the reality behind some popular multinational brand names.
3. Think about the effects recently acquired knowledge has had on them and take personal decisions on future consumer habits.
4. Be able to present the information obtained in a coherent way, both orally and in writing
5. Use the right vocabulary and structures to talk about recently gathered information and present and future implications and decisions

MY ALTER EGO

In this post I am going to talk about a person (not a character!) I find interesting in all the possible senses of the word since I was 14 (which means that my interest is strong enough to last for practically 23 years).
I find him physically attractive and I like the way he works: he is imaginative and creative but also a good businessman. He is also a perfectionist (as you can work out from the quality of his work) and he is able to reinvent himself. And in case this is not enough, he has been involved in human right preservation and he has been fighting for environmental causes for years, as mentioned in the following video interview. He has also fought to preserve the Amazon rainforest, that is why I have also attached a PowerPoint presentation about it below.

ME AS A TEACHER

I think education is a global thing that has to be carried out both at school and at home, and I also believe that education in both environment must be practical and useful for life.

I like the Communicative Approach to language learning, although the activities and tasks I introduce in class come from several methods or approaches. This is so because I think that they all have a positive part.

I'm trying hard to use ICT in the classroom because I know it is a good way to engage my students.
